Everyday’s Battles

Ok, so where do I start? Yea, apparently I’ve cheated with Tumblr and for a while and left all my blogs now due to time constrains. And when I mentioned “time constrains” it is not an exaggeration, because I have stopped following any TV, comics, books, and games series, or any particular hobbies, and my time spent in the cyberspace has significantly decreased. You can check that by seeing my Twitter and its history before I got into college.

So, yeah, I’m not a high school student anymore, and college changed me in some ways. I believe it is only natural because people say college is the very first turn of your life, with marriage and work as the second and third. When you become a college student, you can become almost anything. Almost, because even though I’ve seen people openly announced their homosexuality or renounced their faith on college level, I have not seen people changing faith on college level. So, almost. Let’s just wait what the world has to show me.

Enough of the jibber-jabber, the reason I got online on the very last month of year 2011 is to publish a certain philosophy which I gained this semester. Christians (or people who knows about the “Lord’s Prayer“) may find this philosophy familiar. It’s about living daily. Not hourly, weekly, monthly, bimonthly, per semester, yearly, or even for a lifetime. So let’s check out how it works.

You see that most problem the teenagers faced (especially on labile period) is about love life, especially when your love is unrequited or somehow blocked or hampered by certain issues (say, faith, behavior, lack of trust, over-jealousy, and many more – you know better). These issues, regardless of their significance, are apparently may cause lovers to feel disheartened, blue, or even think that the world’s about to end before the Lord’s Second Coming. Some people may be driven to madness or suicide when it comes pretty dramatically or exaggeratedly.

I, too, have experienced this issue quite dramatically on high school, but have prevented history to repeat on college level thanks to the solution which I came up whenever I started feeling blue, which is heavily related to the philosophy I am presenting in this post. The solution comes from seeing that we are living in a kind of routine everyday (school, recess, prayer, sleep, etc.). It means that regardless of what happened today, we are going to face pretty much the same hell hole tomorrow.

But don’t be disheartened now, because there is an element of uncertainty in our daily life. The most rational element of uncertainty (if you deny the “God factor” or “luck“) is human itself. Human tends to change personality everyday. That’s why your today’s friend may become your tomorrow’s enemy, and your today’s adversaries may become your tomorrow’s loved ones. We never know, because apparently we are already having too much on living as ourselves and often too tired to bother on others’ lives, especially when their actions do not affect us directly.

So, adding both variables (bleh, variables), we can see that we are facing pretty much the same thing but with different personalities everyday. It means regardless whether you are having this one day which makes you feel so satisfied that you are ready when death calls you on your bed at midnight, or a day which frustrates you to the pits of hopelessness, you are going to face all of them once again differently. You may win or lose today, but that result only last for a day. Tomorrow you are going to struggle again and maybe achieve different result. That’s why some famous anonymous said that:

perfection can be achieved by keep changing

Or, in my words, I can say that:

Everyday has their own battles. So you must struggle for it everyday and not let yourself drowned by only a mere day result.

Think about it! ;)

Finished thinking or too lazy to do so? Then let’s continue. The previous concept of everyday’s battles is also not limited to love life. It is also applicable to your exam score or anything which may affect yourself. I hope you got the idea and philosophy (because apparently my texts has been proven incomprehensible, especially by some RP staffs who works in some RPF which I recently joined) and see you on next post :D (hopefully I’ll post 2011 resolution soon)
